Namaste - How are you today?

We are a small company based in the North of England, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. We trade at fairs, festivals and markets throughout Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland, selling our beautiful ethnic clothes, felt handicrafts, wall hangings, bed sheets, and a whole range of other goods.

More About Us

I am Linda Wood, retired after many years working for UK charities and enjoying a very different life - meeting wonderful people at events here in the UK and developing friendships in Nepal. It all Began when my Daughter, Hannah suggested 6 years ago that I should visit Nepal, but that's a story for another day.

Where does it come from?

Well Nepal, as you might expect from the name, including India and Kashmir.

Each year I travel to the area to do the buying (somebody has to do it!), ensuring that the goods are produced to a high standard and that the people are receiving a decent wage as well as working in good conditions.

I am also able to visit the orphanage in Kathmandu that we support - earlier this year I took laptops for the children to use at home.

This year we are working with Madhew - our felt supplier (Colours Handicraft) to raise money to build a pre-school in his home village. The school was destroyed in last year’s earthquake along with most of the village.
